I’m proud to share that a website designed by LMRT has been shortlisted for the Best Website category at the Lincolnshire Marketing Awards.

The site in question? One we created for Eight Branches – a wellness practice offering acupuncture, reflexology, and Chinese herbal medicine in Lincoln.

This recognition is a lovely surprise, especially because the site wasn’t designed to win awards. It was designed to work: clean, calm, and easy to navigate. It reflects the values of Eight Branches: professionalism, clarity, and care.

Design that reflects the business

From the start, the aim was to build something that genuinely reflects the world of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. A site that feels grounded and serene, while still delivering everything a modern business needs:

  • Fast, responsive performance

  • Clear navigation and booking pathways

  • Search engine optimisation that actually works

  • A brand identity that stands out and means something

We also updated the logo with an animated “8” that subtly reinforces the eight pillars of Chinese medicine, and used fine animated lines throughout the site to symbolise acupuncture needles – adding a layer of symbolism without distracting from the content.

It’s about the user, not the awards

In the end, websites should do their job first. For this project, that meant being functional, user-friendly, and helping clients find information and book appointments quickly. Awards are always nice – but happy clients are the real goal.

Great SEO = Great visibility

The site now ranks in the top 5 results on Google for key terms like:

  • “Acupuncture in Lincoln”

  • “Chinese medicine in Lincoln”

  • “Herbal medicine in Lincoln”

That visibility has driven real growth for Eight Branches and that’s the kind of result that matters most.

Thanks and good luck

Big thanks to the judges and organisers for including LMRT on the shortlist. Congratulations to everyone else nominated too, there’s some fantastic work being done across the region, and it’s great to be part of it.

Congratulations on being shortlisted this post captured both the achievement and the work behind it very well. I liked how it stayed grounded and appreciative. It felt well-earned. I once read a recognition post https://alphadentalexcellence.com/ on an alphadentalexcellence-based review blog that approached success with similar humility.

Really enjoyed reading this post, congratulations on being shortlisted. The way you explained the design journey https://griffindeck.com/services/deck-railing and recognition felt very genuine and inspiring. I recently saw a similar discussion on a griffindeck-based review blog, and it was interesting to compare how different teams approach creative milestones.

This is a well-deserved achievement, and the post explains it clearly without overdoing it. The design focus came through nicely. I remember https://galimidilaw.com/wrongful-death/ a branding and design discussion on that touched on similar ideas.
