Highly Commended at Lincolnshire Marketing awards

I’m delighted to share that LMRT received a Highly Commended award at the Lincolnshire Marketing Awards 2025, in the Best website category, for the design and build of the Eight Branches website.

The ceremony took place in Lincoln on 12th September. I wasn’t able to attend in person, but it was a really good to have the work recognised especially among such strong competition.

What makes this especially rewarding is that the Eight Branches site was never created with awards in mind (nor should it), it was designed to work.

From the first visuals, it was planned to be clean, calm, and easy to navigate, to reflect the essence of Eight Branches, highlighting work in acupuncture, reflexology, Chinese herbal medicine, and a holistic approach to health. Every element was designed with clarity and care, not complexity - that was the key.

The goal was simple: create a site that’s functional, intuitive, and true to the business. I worked closely with Alison Seymour, the founder of Eight Branches, to ensure every detail felt right, from the tone of the content to the layout, and the flow of information, always designed with purpose, not praise.

Alison had a clear vision for how she wanted her clinic to be represented online. Not flashy, not overwhelming – but thoughtful, professional, and rooted in calmness. We collaborated throughout the project to fine-tune the look, feel and structure until it matched the experience her clients receive in person.

The result is a site that feels as good as it functions. One that speaks to visitors with quiet confidence and invites them in.

Built to perform

Behind the visuals is a smart structure built for visibility and growth. The site is:

• Fully responsive across all devices

• Easy to navigate, with clear service pages and booking options

• Fast-loading and technically optimised

• Strategically written with SEO best practice in mind

Since launching, the site has ranked consistently in the top 5 results on Google for key terms like:

• “Acupuncture in Lincoln”

• “Herbal medicine Lincoln”

• “Chinese medicine Lincolnshire”

It’s this strong local presence that has helped Eight Branches grow its client base organically, without paid advertising.

This Highly Commended award wasn’t expected, but it’s appreciated. While the website wasn’t designed to win awards, it was designed to reflect a business that deeply cares about its clients. The recognition is a nice nod to that – and a pat on the back for thoughtful, collaborative design.
