LMRT had the pleasure of creating a new website for Eight Branches an acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and reflexology business based in Lincoln. From the very beginning, the aim was clear: to design something that didn’t just look good – but truly felt right.
The existing website had served its purpose, but it no longer reflected the depth, professionalism, or warmth of the practice. The client Alison Seymour wanted something calm, caring, and credible. As she put it:
“I want to convey the image of caring, approachable and professional. Someone you feel safe with, highly qualified and who you would trust to support restoration or maintenance of good health.”
That vision really shaped everything that followed.
We started by looking at websites she admired – sites with a strong health-focused message and a clean, trustworthy design. She wanted something that aligned with the idea of integrated healthcare, where acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are the main pillars, and reflexology acts as a supportive modality. I used those references as a springboard, designing visuals that felt more refined, more tailored and, ultimately, better than what was already out there.
Every image was carefully selected to create the right tone – inviting, calm and grounded in healthcare rather than vague wellbeing. Behind the scenes, I made sure the site was doing its job too, optimised for SEO with targeted keywords such as acupuncture Lincoln and Chinese herbal medicine Lincolnshire, ensuring the right people can find her services.
One unexpected highlight for me was learning more about the power and breadth of Chinese herbal medicine. I hadn’t realised just how many areas it can support, from fertility and menopause to sleep, digestion and immunity. That deeper understanding added extra meaning to the way I structured and presented the content, it wasn’t just a design job, it was about creating trust.
The feedback throughout the project has been lovely. Some of her comments through the project included:
“Everything looks perfect”, “It looks wonderful”, and my personal favourite: “Honestly, the website looks stunning.”
It’s always rewarding when a project goes smoothly and the client feels truly represented by the final result. This site now gives her a strong online presence, one that matches her qualifications, her values, and the care she gives to each of her patients.
